Alaska Airlines has decided to launch a Seattle–London/Heathrow route on May 21, 2026, and has begun selling tickets.
The airline will operate one round-trip flight per day using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The scheduled flight time is 9 hours 25 minutes from Seattle and 9 hours 50 minutes from London/Heathrow.
London is the largest intercontinental market to and from Seattle, with more than 400 people traveling between the two cities every day. At London Heathrow Airport, flights will use Terminal 3, enabling convenient connections with oneworld member airlines.
In addition, Titanium members of Atmos Rewards will be offered complimentary upgrades on transcontinental routes starting in spring 2026. Upgrades will be available without using points or vouchers.
Alaska Airlines plans to open 12 intercontinental routes from Seattle by 2030. London/Heathrow will be the fourth destination to be served.
