Qantas Group to Ban Use and Charging of Mobile Batteries Onboard from December 15
StarFlyer has announced that it will resume regular flights on the Kitakyushu–Taipei/Taoyuan route around the fall of 2026.
The airline has already announced charter flights on this route from January to March 2026, and the resumption of regular service will mark the first scheduled flights in six and a half years, spanning the COVID-19 pandemic. After regular flights resume, the airline plans to operate roughly three round trips per week in late-night and early-morning time slots. Details such as the exact launch date and number of flights will be announced once decided.
Before the spread of COVID-19, StarFlyer operated two international routes, Nagoya/Chubu–Taipei/Taoyuan and Kitakyushu–Taipei/Taoyuan, both with one round trip per day. Both routes have been suspended since March 11, 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Nagoya/Chubu–Taipei/Taoyuan route is expected to remain suspended.
