Japan Airlines (JAL) will hold the “JALunLun New Year Sale 2026” from January 7 to January 21, 2026.
As a special New Year’s promotion, JAL will run the “First Dream Present” campaign, in which a total of 2,026 people selected by lottery will win prizes such as trips to Hawaii and “JAL Domestic Award Ticket – Fly Somewhere Miles” coupons. In addition, 2,026 miles will be awarded to 500 people selected from those who purchase air travel products such as air tickets and tour packages and also use JAL Mall or “JAL Special Selections.”
In domestic and international time‑limited sales, packages that combine air tickets and accommodation will be discounted by up to 50,000 yen per group for domestic travel and up to 50,000 yen per person for overseas travel. For domestic hotels, 2 miles will be accrued for every 100 yen spent on accommodation, and for overseas hotels, 6 miles will be accrued for every 100 yen.
There will also be a time‑limited sale on air tickets, with details to be announced at a later date. For international award tickets, the required miles for the Singapore route will be reduced to as low as 9,100 miles one‑way. The period will run from January 7 to 16.
For JAL Cards, up to 7,000 miles will be awarded when referred by a JAL Visa Card member. At JAL Mall, a campaign will be held to earn up to 12 times the usual miles, along with a JAL Shopping Sale offering discounts of up to 80% off regular prices. JAL Mileage Park will award up to 6 times the usual miles, and new registrants to JAL Furusato Nozei (hometown tax donation program) will receive 100 miles and be entered into a lottery to win up to 5,000 miles.
At JAL Wellness & Travel, 7,000 miles will be awarded by lottery to participants who achieve 60,000 steps during the applicable period and meet the conditions. In addition to the Life Status Points Double Campaign, there will also be a lottery for up to 200,000 miles among those who enter this campaign.
In terms of redeeming miles, the required miles for product redemptions at “JAL Special Selections” will be reduced by up to 2,000 miles, and up to 3,000 miles will be refunded when award redemptions are made through the “Miles de Experience” program.
