Japan Tourism Agency to Hold Briefings Nationwide on New Tax-Free Refund System for Foreign Visitors
The Japanese steak restaurant chain Yappari Steak opened its “Yappari Steak Metroplaza” location on December 15.
After opening its first overseas restaurant in Nepal in 2023, Yappari Steak has expanded into Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines, and now operates 16 locations outside Japan. As part of its strategy to further expand in Asia, the company has opened its first Hong Kong outlet at Metroplaza.
The signature menu item is “Yappari Steak,” made with chuck flap (misuji), priced at 78 Hong Kong dollars for 100 grams. The restaurant also serves beef tongue (50 grams for 78 Hong Kong dollars) and taco rice (68 Hong Kong dollars), among other dishes. To celebrate the opening, they are running a one-month limited campaign from the opening day, increasing the portion of “Yappari Steak” from 150 grams to 200 grams while keeping the price at the 150-gram level.
The restaurant is located on the 5th floor of Metroplaza, a large commercial complex directly connected to Kwai Fong Station in Hong Kong. It has 50 seats, and opening hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
