KLM Cancels Hundreds of Flights from Amsterdam Schiphol Due to Snow and De‑icing Fluid Shortage
Mitsui O.S.K. Cruises will operate the debut cruises of the MITSUI OCEAN SAKURA from September 19 through December.
During this period, the company plans a total of 29 sailings, consisting of multiple itineraries of 1 to 3 nights. As a Japan-flagged ship, the cruises will mainly be short- to medium-length itineraries departing from and arriving at ports around Japan. General reservations will open on January 19.
The onboard facilities will inherit the traditions of the company’s existing ships, and an outline of the services has been decided. As new facilities not available on the currently operating MITSUI OCEAN FUJI, the ship will feature a sushi bar and a footbath. Detailed itineraries will be provided on the official website and by partner travel agencies.
The Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Group has positioned its cruise business as a stable-earnings segment under its management plan “BLUE ACTION 2035,” and aims to enhance corporate value through this business together with the MITSUI OCEAN FUJI.
