
Toyoko Inn to Sell ‘Local GENKI Badges’ from April 1
Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers will host the “Winter Hokkaido Fair – Tokachi & Central Hokkaido –” from January 10 to April 10.
The fair focuses on ingredients from the Tokachi region and the Central Hokkaido area, offering a buffet-style selection that includes tataki of “e-beef,” a brand of Hokkaido-produced Japanese Black wagyu beef, crusted roast of “Komeaiton,” a brand of pork from Atsuma Town, hot-stone grilled steak of Hakodate Onuma beef, and all-you-can-eat snow crab (queen crab). At the sushi corner, they will serve nigiri sushi made with “Toi Hon Maguro” bluefin tuna, caught in the same fishing grounds as Oma in Aomori Prefecture, along with various regional dishes from across Hokkaido such as “Katte-don” (DIY seafood rice bowl), Obihiro-style pork rice bowl, Sapporo’s famous rich miso ramen, soup curry, and Genghis Khan (grilled mutton).
The menu will also feature appetizers, desserts, cocktails, and mocktails made with haskap berries from Atsuma Town, as well as a variety of sweets including “shime parfait” (a parfait eaten at the end of a night out), which originated in Susukino, Sapporo, Hokkaido-produced ice cream, custard pudding made with milk from Shikaoi Town in the Tokachi region, and apple pie made with apples from Nanae Town. Some dishes will not be available at weekday lunch.
The venue is the all-day dining restaurant “Compass” on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dinner hours are 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays.
Prices are 6,200 yen for adults, 3,000 yen for children, and 5,000 yen for seniors for weekday lunch. Lunch on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, as well as dinner on all days, is 9,300 yen for adults, 4,500 yen for children, and 7,500 yen for seniors (age 62 and over). All prices include tax and service charge.
