Iberia and China Southern Airlines have agreed to implement a codeshare partnership.
The airlines will place their flight numbers on each other’s routes, including China Southern Airlines’ Guangzhou–Madrid route and its domestic flights within China, as well as Iberia’s domestic routes within Spain and its Latin American routes. This will strengthen connectivity between China, Europe, and Latin America.
Including its Tokyo/Narita–Madrid route, Iberia will enhance its network to Asia. By operating flights to 18 cities in 16 countries in Latin America, Iberia will further strengthen Madrid’s function as a hub. China Southern Airlines will also expand its route network to Spain and Latin America.
