KLM Cancels Hundreds of Flights from Amsterdam Schiphol Due to Snow and De‑icing Fluid Shortage
Japan Airlines (JAL) will sell Mars Tsunuki Distillery’s “Single Malt Tsunuki JAL EXCLUSIVE 2025” on board its international flights from January 1 to February 28.
The airline aims to promote “Japanese craft whisky” produced at small distilleries located throughout Japan, encouraging passengers to visit various regions of the country through this tasting experience. As the 13th installment in the series, JAL will offer a whisky produced by Hombo Shuzo at the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.
This single malt whisky is made from base whisky matured for five years in Satsuma (Kagoshima), then finished in casks traditionally used for aging Japanese “umeshu” (plum liqueur). When poured into a glass, it releases a fresh, floral aroma reminiscent of new green leaves and mint, while on the palate it offers fruity notes like apricot and plum that linger pleasantly in the finish.
Available exclusively to First Class and Business Class passengers, and advance reservation is required through the JAL International In-flight Sales “Pre-order Service.” Limited to one bottle per person per flight. The price is 20,000 yen.
