All Nippon Airways (ANA) will implement special handling for airline tickets due to the forecast of snowfall in Japan.
As of 6:00 p.m. on January 6, special handling applies to flights arriving at and departing from Sapporo/New Chitose on the afternoon of January 7. Due to possible runway condition deterioration caused by accumulated snow and air traffic control instructions, flights may be suddenly delayed or canceled, and de-icing and snow removal operations may cause longer waiting times before takeoff.
For airline tickets on the affected flights, changes, rebooking, and refunds will be accepted free of charge, regardless of whether the flight is delayed or canceled.
In addition, there are concerns about possible operational disruptions due to snow, thunderstorms, and strong winds at the following airports in Japan: Wakkanai, Aomori, Odate-Noshiro, Shonai, Komatsu, and Niigata.
