
Finnair to Increase Osaka/Kansai–Helsinki Flights from June 30
Hokkaido Air System (HAC) will add more flight cancellations due to aircraft inspections and maintenance on the aircraft that was designated as having been involved in a serious incident.
HAC is proceeding with maintenance work on the aircraft that experienced an engine malfunction on flight JL2823 from Sapporo/Okadama to Akita on December 11 (ATR 42-600, registration: JA14HC). The airline has newly decided to cancel an additional 22 flights scheduled to operate between January 10 and 14. Furthermore, 46 flights will be delayed by up to one hour.
As a result, the total number of flights canceled due to the incident has reached 158. The date for resuming operations of the aircraft will be announced once it has been finalized.
