Sendai Washington Hotel completed renovation work on all 223 guest rooms, which had been carried out in stages, on December 12.
The guest rooms feature carpets inspired by the crest “Sendai Sasa” used by the Date clan of the Sendai Domain, and wallpaper with a gold leaf pattern. They are furnished with wood-grain style furniture unified in grayish tones, brass-colored pendant lights that make use of environmentally friendly bamboo materials, and chairs upholstered with fabric that includes recycled polyester yarn made from used plastic bottles. The in-room television information system has been updated and equipped with a mirroring function that allows guests to cast their smartphone screens, enabling them to use various subscription services with their own accounts.
In addition, new water dispensers have been installed in the elevator halls on each floor, allowing guests to refill the dedicated tumblers provided in their rooms or their own bottles with cold or room-temperature water.
