Japan Airlines (JAL) will change the accumulation criteria for Life Status Points (LSP) for “JAL Pay” and “JAL Pay Currency Exchange” from January 12.
For “JAL Pay,” currently 1 LSP is accumulated for every 500 miles, but after the revision, 1 LSP will be accumulated for every 400 miles. The change applies to basic miles earned through JAL Pay; miles earned through the JAL Pay Miles UP Program and bonus miles granted through various campaigns will be excluded.
For “JAL Pay Currency Exchange,” currently all JAL Pay Currency Exchange miles excluding bonus miles are eligible, but after the revision, only miles accumulated through standard foreign currency to Japanese yen exchanges will be eligible. The rate of 1 LSP for every 300 miles will remain unchanged.
