easyJet to Complete Sharklet Retrofit on Airbus A320ceo Fleet by Summer
Qatar Airways has completed the installation of Starlink on its Airbus A350 aircraft.
After announcing the introduction in May 2024, the airline began installing the system on Boeing 777 aircraft in October of the same year and expanded it to Airbus A350 aircraft from April 2025. By December of that year, it had completed installation on all aircraft over approximately eight months, and has already introduced the service on about 120 aircraft. Furthermore, Qatar Airways became the first in the world to begin rolling out Starlink on Boeing 787-8 aircraft and has already completed installation on three of them.
The introduction of Starlink will strengthen real-time operations. In addition to instantly distributing updates on flights and crew rosters, it will enhance the transmission of medical and service-related information from the aircraft to the ground.
By 2025, Starlink had provided services to more than 21 million passengers of airlines around the world, with Qatar Airways accounting for half of that total.
