Hotel New Otani Osaka will hold the “Super Sweets Buffet 2026 – Strawberry Picking at the Hotel” from January 5 to April 28.
From February 16 to March 31 during the period, the buffet will feature a “Jewelry” theme, offering menus that combine strawberries with ingredients that pair well with them. Items include the “Pistachio Tart,” which uses rich-flavored pistachios and is finished with cream and a fragrant tart crust, topped with whipped cream and silver decorations, and the “Rouge Tart,” which combines a red cream that condenses the flavor of strawberries with a crispy tart crust. In addition, they will also serve items such as “Butterfly Pea and Yogurt Jelly,” a two-layer dessert with purple color and the tartness of yogurt, and “Clementine Jelly,” which captures citrus juice in a jelly form.
The New Otani’s signature sweets “Super Series” will also be offered in buffet sizes. The “New Super Amaou Shortcake” is made to highlight Hakata Amaou strawberries, using sponge cake made with Taiyo eggs from Nagasaki Prefecture and fresh cream from Omuta, all arranged in bite-sized pieces. The “Super Melon Shortcake,” made only with musk melons that have a sugar content of 14 degrees Brix or higher, will also be adapted for the buffet while retaining its focus on premium ingredients.
As interactive menu items, the buffet will feature “Strawberry Chocolate Fondue” and a “Honey Plate” with honey and various toppings. Honey will be offered at the parfait corner, where guests can create their favorite parfaits by combining it with soft-serve ice cream, nuts, dried fruits, hazelnuts, and sauces made from three kinds of berries.
The venue is the tea & cocktail lounge “SATSUKI LOUNGE” inside Hotel New Otani Osaka. Hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, with a 90-minute time limit in all cases. Prices, including tax and service charge, are 6,800 yen for adults on weekdays, 7,500 yen for adults on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, 4,000 yen for elementary school students, and 3,000 yen for children aged 4 and older.
