Delta Air Lines to Introduce Up to 60 Boeing 787 Aircraft
Air India has decided to introduce the Boeing 787-9 aircraft on its Tokyo/Haneda–Delhi route from February 14 (departing Tokyo/Haneda and arriving the following day).
The aircraft will be configured with a total of 300 seats: 30 in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy Class, and 249 in Economy Class. Compared with the Boeing 787-8, this represents an upgauge in size, and Premium Economy Class will be offered for the first time on Air India’s routes to Japan.
Air India plans to take delivery of six widebody aircraft this year in total, comprising Airbus A350-1000s and Boeing 787-9s.
