JTA to Launch Third Jinbei Jet “Yui Jinbei” Boeing 737-800 on January 19

Japan Transocean Air (JTA) will launch its third Jinbei Jet, “Yui Jinbei” (Boeing 737-800, registration: JA07RK), on January 19.

In partnership with the Okinawa Churashima Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation that manages Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, JTA has been operating the first “Jinbei Jet” since 2012 and the second “Sakura Jinbei” since 2014, both aimed at promoting tourism in the northern area of Okinawa Island.

The third aircraft features “green” as its base color, inspired by the emerald green of the “sea” of Okinawa and the “Yanbaru and Iriomote Forests,” which are registered as UNESCO World Natural Heritage sites. The design expresses the principle that the sea and mountains are deeply connected within the natural cycle. It incorporates elements of the natural environment and biodiversity, conveying a wish to link them to a sustainable future.

The inaugural flight will be flight NU607 from Okinawa/Naha to Ishigaki on the same day. On flights operated by “Jinbei Jet,” “Sakura Jinbei,” and “Yui Jinbei,” passengers who wish will receive a “postcard” featuring the “Yui Jinbei” design. The paper cups used for in-flight drink service will also be changed to a new design that includes “Yui Jinbei.”

In addition, for in-flight sales in January and February, JTA will sell a “Yui Jinbei Acrylic Keychain (phosphorescent)” and a “Yui Jinbei Flight Tag.”
