
JR East Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku Lines Halted by Power Outage on January 16
East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and other railway operators will run the temporary overnight sleeper limited express “Sunrise Izumo No. 91/92” between Tokyo and Izumoshi Station during Japan’s large consecutive holidays in May (Golden Week).
The operating dates are May 2 and 7 for the westbound “No. 91” departing from Tokyo, and May 1 and 6 for the eastbound “No. 92” departing from Izumoshi. A 7-car formation of the Series 285 EMU sleeper train will be used.
The timetable is unchanged from the operation during the 2025 year-end and New Year period, with the required travel time between Tokyo and Izumoshi Station being 15 hours 11 minutes for No. 91 and 16 hours 18 minutes for No. 92.
