Singapore Airlines and Air India have agreed on a framework agreement for commercial cooperation aimed at implementing a joint business.
Subject to regulatory approvals and the signing of a formal joint business agreement, the airlines aim to enhance connectivity and convenience between Singapore and India.
In the future, they plan to enable bookings of itineraries that combine both airlines’ flights under a single journey, strengthen benefits for frequent flyer program members, mutually utilize corporate services, and expand schedule coordination and connection convenience. They will also explore opportunities to expand the scope of cooperation in selected markets beyond Singapore and India.
The two airlines currently operate codeshare flights to 61 destinations across 20 countries and regions.
