
Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya Offers Strawberry Afternoon Tea from January 5 to May 31
At voco Osaka Central in Japan, the “Nostalgic Strawberry Afternoon Tea” will be served from January 9 to May 6.
The theme is 1980s tea time in Japan, with strawberry-focused sweets and savory items presented on a three-tier birdcage stand. The period will be divided into two parts: “London Tea Time” until March 15, and “Easter Tea Time” from March 16 onward. For each period, in addition to a main strawberry sweet, mini sweets, and savory items, a common menu of a little-bird-shaped strawberry scone plate and a strawberry-based mocktail will be offered.
In Season 1, “London Tea Time,” the main sweet will be the “Strawberry Custard Slice,” made by layering crème mousseline (a combination of custard cream and buttercream) and strawberries on puff pastry. Mini sweets will include items such as “Strawberry Condensed Milk Pudding,” “Strawberry Jam Cookie Brooch,” and “Strawberry Chiffon Sandwich.” Savory items will feature a strawberry salad with cheese and balsamic cream, and a mini quiche combining spinach, Gorgonzola cheese, and sliced strawberries.
In Season 2, “Easter Tea Time,” the main item will be the “Easter Garden Strawberry Tart,” decorated with strawberries and Easter garden–themed decorations featuring rabbit-shaped motifs. Mini sweets will include the “Easter Egg Dragée,” which uses chocolate to resemble a nest, and the “Strawberry Bunny Cupcake,” topped with rabbit-ear-shaped marshmallows on a cupcake. The savory selection will consist of fish and chips served with strawberry tartar sauce and a strawberry salad, along with “Strawberry Deviled Eggs,” made by filling halved boiled eggs with yolk cream and dried strawberries.
The venue is the 1st-floor café & bar “LOKAL HOUSE.” Afternoon tea is offered in three time slots: from 1:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. The afternoon tea price is 1,000 yen. A special plan, available exclusively on the official Japanese website, offers a 15% discount and a gift on the second visit when booking both seasons together. Reservations are required by 5:00 p.m. two days in advance. All prices include tax.
