Sony Bank is holding the “Sony Bank WALLET 10th Anniversary Campaign” from January 1 to March 31 in Japan.
During the applicable period of each month, a total of 60 million yen will be shared among account holders who spend at least 30,000 yen with Sony Bank WALLET at Visa member merchants in Japan or overseas, apply through the campaign page, and complete a questionnaire. The total amount to be shared differs by month: 10 million yen in January, 20 million yen in February, and 30 million yen in March. The maximum amount per account is 4,000 yen per month, with a total maximum of 12,000 yen over the three campaign periods.
As an additional benefit, 100,000 yen will be awarded to 100 winners by lottery from among applicants who spend at least 30,000 yen at Visa member merchants for three consecutive months. For every cumulative 30,000 yen spent over the three periods, one additional entry into the lottery is granted, up to a maximum of 10 entries.
Applications can be submitted only once, and the funds will be deposited into the user’s yen ordinary deposit account by the end of May. Foreign currency transactions will be converted into yen using Sony Bank’s designated yen conversion reference rate. If the user has not opened a foreign currency account for the relevant currency, or uses a currency that is not covered, the amount will be calculated in yen after deducting various fees. Accounts that have been closed at the time of deposit, usage at overseas ATMs, remittance transactions, and certain participants in the ANA new account opening campaign are not eligible.
