REVOLUT TECHNOLOGIES JAPAN, which operates the next-generation financial app “Revolut,” has launched a new “Joint Account” service.
Regardless of legal marital status, the service can be used by friends, parents and children, and others to manage living expenses or as a shared wallet. A physical card and a virtual card dedicated to the joint account are issued to each user, and whenever either party makes a payment, a real-time notification is sent. Multiple currencies, including Japanese yen, can be managed and shared, and up to 10 cards per person can be used. Disposable virtual cards are not available. There are no usage fees.
Revolut is a financial service used by 70 million people worldwide. It supports exchange and management of 39 currencies including Japanese yen. It supports payments in over 150 currencies, whether or not you have exchanged in advance. It offers many features for travelers, such as no overseas transaction fees when settling in foreign currencies, fee-free cash withdrawals at overseas ATMs, and support for Apple Pay and Google Pay.
