JR West to Suspend Some Conventional Lines and Limited Express Trains on January 22 Due to Heavy Snow
West Japan Railway Company (JR West) will implement special handling of tickets due to an expected heavy snowfall.
Refunds and changes to the validity period of eligible tickets will be processed without handling fees. Eligible tickets are those that include any date between January 22 and 26 in their validity period and are for JR West conventional lines, the Sanyo Shinkansen, or the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Tsuruga and Joetsumyoko stations, either departing from, arriving at, or passing through that section.
Customers can bring their tickets to a nearby JR station within one year from the travel date to receive assistance. For internet reservations, guidance is provided on the top page after logging into each respective service. For travel products purchased through travel agencies, customers need to contact the travel agency from which they purchased the product.
