Toyoko Inn to Sell ‘Local GENKI Badges’ from April 1
APA Hotel opened “APA Hotel <Sapporo Odori Ekimae Nishi>” on December 18.
This is the first project in the company’s nationwide scrap-and-build hotel redevelopment plan. The hotel originally opened in 2001 and had been in continuous operation, but due to aging facilities, it closed in February 2024. Following reconstruction, it has now reopened as APA’s first newly built hotel in Hokkaido, Japan.
The building has 14 floors above ground. There are 218 guest rooms in total, across six types: Single, Double, Cozy Single, Cozy Double, Connect Room, and Barrier-Free Room. In-room amenities include large LCD televisions, original APA beds and pillows, unit baths, ultra-fine bubble showerheads, and universal power outlets.
Facilities within the hotel include a Chinese restaurant operated by Hotei, coin-operated laundry machines, a foreign currency exchange machine, a vending machine corner, microwave ovens, ice machines, water dispensers, and parking for six cars. Breakfast is served at the first-floor restaurant as a Chinese Restaurant Hotei breakfast plate set. In addition to dishes such as zangi (Hokkaido-style fried chicken), mapo tofu, and ramen, the menu also features the “APA President Curry and Hotei Zangi Set.” Breakfast costs 1,400 yen in advance and 1,500 yen on the day, and is served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Access: a 7-minute walk from Odori Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway, a 4-minute walk from Nishi 11-chome Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway, and a 3-minute walk from Nishi 8-chome Station on the Sapporo Streetcar.
