Royal Hotel to Open Noir by Rihga Kobe Arima in Late February 2028
Emirates and Marriott International will open the world’s first “Ritz-Carlton Lodge” in Australia’s Wolgan Valley in mid-2026.
The property will be built within a 7,000-acre conservation reserve in the Greater Blue Mountains region of New South Wales, Australia. It will feature 40 lodge units and offer all-inclusive services. Facilities will include an arrival lounge and living room, a signature restaurant, a lounge bar, a wine room, an outdoor pool, tennis courts, a fitness center, and a spa. Guests will be able to access the resort either by four-wheel drive vehicles as part of an off-road experience, or by helicopter.
Since 2006, Emirates has invested 150 million Australian dollars in the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort, carrying out environmental conservation activities such as restoring historic buildings and planting more than one million native trees. After Wolgan Valley Road was closed in 2023, the airline continued to employ staff locally and maintain the facilities even while operations were suspended. An additional 50 million Australian dollars is being invested in the development of the new “Ritz-Carlton Lodge.”
