Starlux Airlines will launch its Taipei/Taoyuan–Prague route on August 1.
Initially, it will operate three round trips per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, increasing to four round trips per week from October with the addition of Monday flights. The route will be operated with Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
This will be Starlux Airlines’ first entry into the European market. Prague Airport expects more than 95,000 passengers to use the route in the first year.
The Czech Republic is strengthening its semiconductor industry and is located close to Dresden, Germany, where Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has a plant. The two countries are also planning cooperation in the semiconductor field, and Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs opened a trade and investment center in Prague in 2024.
