American Express International has added a new rose gold color to its “American Express Business Gold Card” in Japan.
This is in addition to the existing gold color and features a metal card design. Existing cardmembers can switch to the new design for a reissue fee of 5,500 yen.
The card is targeted at small business owners and sole proprietors in Japan, and offers functions to streamline expense management, as well as benefits related to travel and dining, and a rewards points program. The annual fee is 49,500 yen (including tax).
For applications submitted up to March 31, cardmembers can earn 30,000 points by spending 800,000 yen or more within 4 months after joining, 50,000 points by spending 1,500,000 yen or more within 6 months, and another 50,000 points by spending 2,500,000 yen or more within 8 months. In addition, they can earn 5,000 points for every 50,000 yen spent at eligible merchants within 6 months (up to 25,000 points). Including points from regular spending, they can earn up to a maximum of 180,000 points.
