Lufthansa Unveils Airbus A321 in Lockheed Super Star Retro Livery for 100th Anniversary
Japan Airlines (JAL) will change aircraft on some routes in March due to damage sustained by one of its aircraft (Airbus A350-1000, registration: JA10WJ) while it was parked at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
Around 12:40 a.m. on December 14, the right wing of another airline’s aircraft, which was being towed, came into contact with the JAL aircraft that was parked in its designated position for maintenance work. As a result, the left cockpit window and other parts of the aircraft were damaged. According to Radarbox, the aircraft had operated as flight JL4 from Tokyo/Haneda to New York/John F. Kennedy on December 3 and has since been parked at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
JAL will change aircraft on 10 round-trip flights (20 flights in total) on the Tokyo/Haneda – Dallas/Fort Worth route, from the Airbus A350-1000 to the Boeing 777-300ER. Aircraft changes will also occur on the Tokyo/Haneda – Shanghai/Hongqiao, Shanghai/Pudong, and Seoul/Gimpo routes, as well as the Tokyo/Narita – Taipei/Taoyuan route.
As of 2:00 p.m. on February 4, no additional flight cancellations have occurred.
