Cathay Pacific to Increase Fukuoka–Hong Kong Flights from March 29
Nippon Yusen Cruises will operate “A-plus Cruises” using the cruise ship Asuka II, departing from and returning to Naha Port in Okinawa, Japan.
A-plus Cruises are products that allow passengers to travel on their own by air or rail to the departure port and enjoy locally based cruises with short itineraries. Travelers themselves plan sightseeing and accommodation before and after embarkation, which significantly shortens the travel time spent on the ship and enables them to fully enjoy the attractions of the local area within a compact schedule.
For the Okinawa–Naha Port departure/arrival itineraries, two locally based cruise options are available, starting from Naha and calling at remote islands such as Miyako Island and Ishigaki Island, as well as Taiwan. The Miyako & Ishigaki course is a 4-day cruise from March 27 to 30, and includes driving around Hirara, the central area of Miyako Island, and excursions from Ishigaki Island to the surrounding Yaeyama Islands. The Ishigaki & Keelung course is a 5-day cruise from March 30 to April 3, featuring visits to Kabira Bay on Ishigaki Island and night markets in Keelung, Taiwan.
A free baggage delivery service will be offered to deliver luggage checked in at Naha Airport directly to guest cabins on Asuka II, and travelers will also be able to use a courier service to send luggage to the ship in advance. In addition, free shuttle buses will operate between Naha Airport and the port area, and from the port back to the airport, allowing passengers to get off en route near Kokusai-dori Street for meals and shopping. Furthermore, a limited number of coupons valid at the Department Ryubo, a department store located at the entrance of Kokusai-dori in Naha, will be distributed on board the bus.
