Sun Frontier Hotel Management will open Tabino Hotel Aso Kumamoto Airport on April 17.
The building has 10 stories above ground. The hotel offers a total of 213 guest rooms in 5 types: 120 double rooms, 37 double rooms with kitchens, 48 standard twin rooms, 5 deluxe twin rooms, and 3 universal double rooms. All rooms are at least 15 square meters and are equipped with Serta beds, a sofa, a table, a washing machine, a microwave, a two-door refrigerator, a 55-inch smart TV, and an air purifier with humidifier. There is also space under the bed to store suitcases and a hanger rack for drying laundry.
Facilities in the hotel include a lobby lounge, meeting room, a large public bath featuring a man-made hot spring inspired by Kurokawa Onsen, a men’s sauna and cold bath, a relaxation lounge, a coin laundry, and a flat parking lot with 150 spaces. Breakfast is served buffet-style, offering dishes that use local ingredients such as salads made with Higo vegetables and chikuwa salad. Complimentary services include welcome drinks after check-in, ice pops after bathing, and morning coffee in front of the front desk.
Access: approximately 10 minutes by car from Kumamoto Airport, about 8 minutes by car from Higo-Ozu Station on the JR Hōhi Main Line, and about 15 minutes by car from the Kumamoto Interchange (IC) on the Kyushu Expressway.
