ANA and Isuzu Introduce Elf EV Baggage Trucks at Japanese Airports
Japan Airlines (JAL) will consolidate its domestic in-flight sales into the online sales service “Ouchi de In-flight Shopping” from March 1.
“Ouchi de In-flight Shopping” is a service that allows passengers to purchase products from the day of boarding and registration up to three days later by connecting to in-flight Wi-Fi and creating an ID and password from a dedicated screen. In February 2025, JAL unified in-flight sales into “Ouchi de In-flight Shopping” on short-haul domestic routes and ended face-to-face sales on board.
International flight passengers will also be able to make purchases through “Ouchi de In-flight Shopping,” which will be offered alongside traditional face-to-face sales. Purchased products can be delivered within Japan, although duty-free items are excluded. JAL aims to optimize the loading volume of in-flight sales items and reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.
To commemorate the renewal, from March 1 to April 30, among Japan residents who purchase products through “Ouchi de In-flight Shopping,” 25 pairs (50 people) will be selected by lottery to receive “Dokokani Mile,” and the first 2,500 Japan residents who purchase in-flight sales products totaling 15,000 yen or more will receive a limited-edition key holder.
