JR Kyushu Offers “Kyushu Shinkansen All Line Unlimited 1-Day Pass” Lottery Ticket
To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the full opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen, JR Kyushu is selling the “Kyushu Dream Gacha Free Ticket,” a lottery ticket where winners receive either an “Unlimited 1-Day Kyushu Shinkansen All Line Pass” or an “Unlimited 1-Day JR Kyushu All Line Pass.”
The pass can be used on either March 14 or 15, for one day only. The Unlimited 1-Day Kyushu Shinkansen All Line Pass allows unlimited rides between Hakata and Kagoshima-Chuo stations on the Kyushu Shinkansen. The Unlimited 1-Day JR Kyushu All Line Pass allows unlimited rides on all JR Kyushu lines, including the Kyushu Shinkansen and the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen, covering limited express trains, local and rapid trains’ non-reserved ordinary-class seats, and the Hita-Hikosan Line BRT. To use reserved seats with either pass, a reserved-seat limited express ticket must be purchased separately. The Unlimited 1-Day JR Kyushu All Line Pass is limited to 100 winners.
The price is 15,000 yen for adults and 5,000 yen for children. When purchasing the lottery ticket, 14,500 yen (4,500 yen for children) is charged, and an additional 500 yen is charged after the drawing.
Tickets can be purchased exclusively through the JR Kyushu app. The sales period runs until 8:00 p.m. on March 12. The period for drawing the lottery and purchasing the winning ticket is until 11:00 p.m. on March 12.
In addition, among those who draw the lottery, 15 pairs will be selected by an additional drawing to receive 15,000 JR Kyupo points, and 250 pairs will receive a 1,500-yen coupon valid at all Amu Plaza shopping complexes.
