Cathay Pacific to Increase Fukuoka–Hong Kong Flights from March 29
Sado Kisen will end operations of the cafeterias (snack corners) on board its car ferries as of February 27.
After the onboard cafeterias are closed, the company will install the latest food vending machines on its car ferries, enhancing the lineup of light meals, snacks, beverages, and more.
In conjunction with this change, food and retail service facilities at Niigata Port and Ryotsu Port, both in Japan, will be expanded. In addition to the conventional local products and souvenirs, shops at each port will begin selling items such as rice balls, sandwiches, and boxed meals (bento). The cafeterias at the ports will also introduce new menu items that make use of local ingredients. At Niigata Port, a “Bakery & Cafe” where visitors can enjoy freshly baked bread and coffee will open on March 1.
