Rakuten STAY will open “Rakuten STAY Awara Onsen” on February 27.
The building has 5 stories above ground. There are 23 guest rooms in total, in two types accommodating up to 6 people and up to 4 people. Guest rooms are equipped with a private hot spring bathtub fed from the property’s own source, a terrace, a tatami area, and a dining table with an IH heater. Some rooms are also equipped with a sauna, cold bath, large screen, and projector. Five dog-friendly rooms allow guests to stay with up to two dogs; these rooms feature tatami flooring, a foot-washing area, and in-room amenities such as a cage, pet bed, food bowls, pet sheets, trash bin, and waste bags. Each room comes with one parking space, and there are four EV chargers on the premises.
For meals, guests can choose a Japanese or Western-style breakfast. Dinner can be selected from three options: snow crab hot pot with Echizen vegetables; sukiyaki with wagyu chuck short rib and Echizen chicken; or teppanyaki featuring Japanese beef steak, Japanese pork, and Echizen chicken. At the restaurant “Minato Dining Shioso,” course meals are served using fresh fish from Wakasa Bay and vegetables from Fukui Prefecture, and include an all-you-can-drink menu with draft beer, local sake, and more. Room rates start from 32,000 yen per room, tax included.
