Hankyu Travel International Co., Ltd., a major travel agency in Japan, has announced that Toyoharu Yamakawa, currently Managing Director and Head of the Western Japan Sales Headquarters, will be appointed President and Representative Director effective April 1.
Mr. Yamakawa was born in 1964. He joined Hankyu Travel International in 1988 and has since held a series of key positions, including Manager of the Overseas Sales Section 1 in the Media Sales Department of the Western Japan Sales Headquarters, Deputy General Manager of the Procurement Department in the Japan Sales Headquarters for the Japan–Gariel (Nichigari) business, and Deputy Head of the Western Japan Sales Headquarters.
The current President and Representative Director, Jun Sakai, will assume the position of Chairman and Representative Director.
