Air Niugini to Resume Tokyo/Narita – Port Moresby Flights from July 18
Japan Airlines (JAL) has decided to cancel its Tokyo/Haneda–Doha route through March 4.
A total of eight flights will be suspended: departures from Tokyo/Haneda from February 28 to March 3, and departures from Doha from March 1 to 4.
Taking into account the situation in the Middle East, the airline states that flights will remain canceled until it can confirm that operational safety is sufficiently ensured. This Japan–Qatar route is normally operated once daily round-trip.
The United States and Israel have attacked Iran, and Iran is believed to be retaliating by attacking, or targeting, U.S. military bases in neighboring countries. Countries across the Middle East have closed their airspace. Qatar Airways has temporarily suspended all flights to and from Doha, Emirates has done so for all flights to and from Dubai, and Etihad Airways has suspended all flights to and from Abu Dhabi.
