Emirates Suspends Dubai Flights Until 3 p.m. March 1 After Damage at Dubai International Airport
Qatar Airways is continuing the temporary suspension of flights to and from Doha due to the closure of Qatari airspace. The latest information will be provided by 9:00 a.m. local time on March 4 (3:00 p.m. the same day Japan time).
Flight operations will resume as soon as the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority lifts the airspace closure.
In addition to Qatar, Iran, Israel, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have also closed their airspace. The UAE has partially resumed commercial flight operations on a limited basis.
According to the Embassy of Japan in Qatar, around 20 people were injured in Qatar as a result of attacks by Iran. Energy facilities such as Al Udeid Air Base, Mesaieed Power Plant, and Ras Laffan Industrial City were attacked. Civilian facilities, including Hamad International Airport, were also reportedly targeted. The U.S. Department of State has urged U.S. citizens to leave Middle Eastern countries, including Qatar, as quickly as possible.
