Emirates Suspends Dubai Flights Until 3 p.m. March 1 After Damage at Dubai International Airport
El Al Israel Airlines will cancel its scheduled flights until 2:00 a.m. on March 5 local time (11:00 a.m. on the same day Japan time).
In accordance with instructions from the authorities, the airline will announce the latest information as soon as it becomes possible to operate alternative flights. For flights scheduled to depart by March 21, new bookings have been suspended until the security situation becomes clear and measures for passengers affected by the cancellations are arranged.
El Al Israel Airlines had planned to increase the number of round trips on the Tokyo/Narita–Tel Aviv route to four per week from March 1.
According to the Embassy of Japan in Israel, the Israeli authorities plan to suspend all operations and close the airspace until the security situation permits resumption. Some media report that even after the airspace is reopened, rescue flights for Israeli citizens stranded overseas will remain the main focus for the time being.
