According to Emirates Airline, these are limited operations prioritizing passengers who already have existing reservations, and the airline will contact those whose rebooking has been completed directly. Passengers are being asked not to go to the airport until they receive a notification.
Dubai International Airport states that it plans to gradually increase the number of operating flights in coordination with airlines and authorities, and that the operational schedule may change as aircraft are repositioned and the network is readjusted. Departures will be prioritized, and the number of flights is expected to increase gradually based on capacity and airspace availability.
According to the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), around 20,200 people have had their accommodation and rebooking arrangements made.
