Emirates Plans Special Dubai Departures to the Middle East and Europe on March 3 to Support Returnees
Qatar Airways is continuing the temporary suspension of flights to and from Doha following the closure of Qatari airspace. The latest information will be provided by 9:00 a.m. on March 6 local time (3:00 p.m. the same day Japan time).
Flights will resume as soon as the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority lifts the airspace closure. Changes and refunds are being accepted for travel between February 28 and March 10.
In addition to Qatar, Iran, Israel, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have also closed their airspace. The UAE has partially resumed the operation of commercial flights.
According to the Embassy of Japan in Qatar, about 20 people were injured in Qatar as a result of attacks by Iran. Energy facilities such as Al Udeid Air Base, Mesaieed Power Plant, and the Ras Laffan industrial city were attacked. Civilian facilities, including Hamad International Airport, were also reportedly targeted. The U.S. Department of State has called on U.S. citizens to leave countries in the Middle East, including Qatar, as quickly as possible.
