Emirates will suspend flights to and from Dubai until March 7 (until 5:00 a.m. on March 8, Japan time).
The airline will operate flights to support passengers returning home, as well as cargo flights, and will give priority on these flights to those who already hold reservations. Emirates is asking passengers not to go to the airport if they have not received direct contact from the airline and do not have a confirmed reservation on one of these flights.
According to the websites of Dubai International Airport and Emirates, a Dubai–Tokyo/Haneda flight will operate tomorrow, March 5. This will be the first flight to Japan since Middle Eastern countries closed their airspace.
Passengers with connecting flight reservations in Dubai will be allowed to board only if their onward flights are operating. For passengers booked on cancelled flights, Emirates is offering rebooking on alternative flights up to March 27 or a refund.
