Dubai Airports Partially Resume Limited Flights from Evening of March 2
Gastromix will open “Nishimura Sushi” in the domestic terminal of Fukuoka Airport on March 20.
The concept is “Authentic sushi to enjoy casually.” Based on the techniques of traditional Edo-style sushi, the restaurant will serve creative sushi that incorporates elements of French and Korean cuisine. To make it easy for airport users and nearby residents in Japan to visit on a daily basis, the menu will include sushi sets (starting from the 1,300-yen range), creative sushi, chirashi-zushi (scattered sushi), single-piece sushi, and seasonal à la carte dishes, as well as pairings with Japanese sake.
The chef in charge, Takahito Nishimura, trained at Michelin-starred restaurants in France and became independent at the age of 29. His restaurant “Nishimura Takahito La cuisine créativité” received a one-star rating in the Fusion category of the “Michelin Guide Fukuoka–Saga–Nagasaki 2019,” making him the only Japanese chef to earn a star in that category. He currently operates restaurants such as “Nishimura-ya” and “Nishimura Men,” and the Seoul branch “Nishimura Men Seoul,” which opened in 2023, was selected for the Bib Gourmand in the “Michelin Guide Seoul 2025.”
The restaurant will be located in the general area on the 3rd floor of Fukuoka Airport’s domestic terminal, with approximately 23 seats. Opening hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
