Asakusa View Hotel in Tokyo is offering its spring-limited Sky View Afternoon Tea menu, the “Spring Collection,” from March 1 to May 31.
The sweets selection features 10 kinds of items, including a jelly and yogurt mousse made with the white strawberry variety “Awayuki,” a strawberry chocolate tart, a cherry blossom mousse on a bed of strawberry crunch chocolate, a strawberry mousse finished with a white chocolate glaze, and a fresh cream daifuku filled with whipped cream, sponge cake, and Amaou strawberries wrapped in chewy gyuhi rice cake. Savories include six kinds of dishes such as chilled pasta combining boiled sakura shrimp from Shizuoka Prefecture with butterbur sprouts, a “Ségur” sandwich of roasted lamb and fresh vegetables, and carpaccio of pen shell clam, dekopon citrus, grapefruit, and udo (Japanese spikenard). The tea stand is served individually for each person. In addition to one non-alcoholic cocktail of strawberry and tea per person, guests can enjoy free refills of nine varieties of tea leaves from the tea brand “TWG Tea,” as well as coffee and café latte.
The venue is THE TOP BAR Hanabi – Hanabi – on the 28th floor of the main building. Service is offered with no time limit between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m. Prices are 8,000 yen on weekdays and 9,000 yen on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, tax and service charge included. Reservations are required at least two days in advance.
