El Al Israel Airlines is planning operations from Israel to 23 cities, including Tokyo, as the first phase of its outbound flight operations.
The planned destinations are New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Tokyo/Narita, Bangkok, Phuket, Larnaca, Athens, Rome, Milan, Paris, Budapest, Tbilisi, Sofia, Warsaw, Bucharest, Madrid, London, Barcelona, Geneva, Amsterdam, Munich, and Zurich.
Currently, the airline is operating under a special arrangement with a reduced number of flights. According to media reports, authorities will increase the permitted number of outbound passengers per flight from 70 to 100.
