Lufthansa Group Pilots to Strike on March 12–13
The number of people wishing to board the Japanese government’s charter flights for those returning to Japan from Middle Eastern countries is lower than the number of available seats.
On March 12, there will be a charter flight operated by All Nippon Airways (ANA) from Muscat to Tokyo/Haneda via Mumbai, and on March 13, a charter flight operated by Ethiopian Airlines from Riyadh to Tokyo/Narita is scheduled. No further government-operated charter flights are planned for the time being.
The operational situation of scheduled and extra flights has been improving, with airlines such as Emirates resuming one daily round-trip service on the Dubai–Tokyo/Haneda and Dubai–Tokyo/Narita routes.
All of these flights still have many seats available, and on the March 10 charter flight from Riyadh, 12 South Korean nationals used the remaining seats.
