Rakuten STAY opened “Rakuten STAY VILLA Yufuin Onsen” on February 27.
The property offers two types of buildings: single-story units and two-story maisonette units. Of the total 20 rooms, 17 are whole-building rentals. All rooms are equipped with an in-room bath fed by the property’s own hot spring source, a terrace, and a kitchen with home appliances and cooking utensils. High-temperature saunas are installed in 17 rooms and steam saunas in 3 rooms. Among the maisonette-type units, 5 feature separate annexes with private open-air rock baths and outdoor cool-down spaces. In addition, 5 rooms are designed for stays with dogs—small, medium, or large—allowing up to 2 dogs per room, and are equipped with a cage, pet bed, food bowls, pet sheets, and more; 4 of these rooms also include a dog run.
For meals, the property serves breakfast dishes such as “Ryukyu-style rice bowl with Oita-grown Kabosu Yellowtail,” supervised by the head chef of the traditional Japanese inn Ryotei Tanokura, as well as dinner options like “Shabu-shabu with Kabosu Yellowtail and Oku-Bungo Pork,” and terrace dining featuring “Grilled Bungo Beef Round Steak and Oku-Bungo Pork on a Hot Plate.” Room rates start from 45,000 yen per room, tax included.
