Sun Frontier Hotel Management will open “Hiyori Terrace Karuizawa Spa & Resort” in March 2028.
The building will be two stories above ground. The hotel will offer a total of 81 guest rooms in three types: double, twin, and triple. The interiors will feature natural materials, and the rooms will be equipped with large windows, sofas, and tables.
The lobby lounge will feature a fireplace and terrace seating with views of Mount Asama, and complimentary drinks will be served in the evening. The large public bath, using artificial hot spring water derived from Manza Onsen, will also offer views of Mount Asama. The men’s bath will be equipped with a sauna and cold bath, while the women’s bath will have a silky bath. The relaxation area will feature massage chairs and complimentary ice pops for guests to enjoy after bathing. The restaurant will include a forest garden terrace with terrace seating and a fire pit, and breakfast will be served buffet-style with Japanese and Western dishes prepared using local ingredients, including highland vegetables.
Access: approximately 8 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, and about 10 minutes by car from the Usui-Karuizawa Interchange (IC) on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway.
