Sankara Hotel & Spa Yakushima, located on Yakushima Island in Japan, has completely renovated two types of suites and will reopen them between late March and late April.
The target rooms are one Sankara Villa Suite and three Sankara Junior Suites. The Sankara Villa Suite now features a private ocean-view sauna. The balcony is also equipped with a jacuzzi and a shower booth. The interior has been redesigned with a two-bedroom layout, increasing the maximum occupancy from the previous 3 guests to 6 guests. The Sankara Junior Suites have a maximum occupancy of 3 guests, and their bathrooms have been expanded to include a wide reclining bathtub where two people can bathe together.
Suite guests will be offered a full-course dinner at the main dining restaurant “okas,” which is exclusively for suite guests, and a 60-minute spa treatment per person per night at the spa “Sankara Sana.” The dinner will feature an original menu using local ingredients from Yakushima.
