Japan Airlines (JAL) has decided to cancel its Tokyo/Haneda–Doha route until April 1.
The suspension applies to flights departing Tokyo/Haneda from February 28 through March 31, and flights departing Doha from March 1 through April 1. This route normally operates one round-trip flight per day.
Taking into account the situation in the Middle East, JAL stated, “We will continue to place the highest priority on the safety of our customers and employees, and will review our operational policy based on the latest information from international organizations and relevant authorities.”
Airspace over various Middle Eastern countries has been closed, and Hamad International Airport in Doha also remains closed except for certain relief flights. In addition, there is a possibility of aircraft changes on some routes between Japan and Europe.
