Turkish Airlines will increase flights on the Istanbul–Cluj-Napoca route from March 29.
The airline currently operates one round-trip per day, which will be increased to two round-trips per day. The flights will be operated with Boeing 737 or Airbus A321 aircraft. The flight time is 1 hour 35 minutes from Istanbul, and between 1 hour 40 minutes and 1 hour 50 minutes from Cluj-Napoca.
Cluj-Napoca is the third-largest city in Romania. It is known for its beautiful cityscape that strongly retains the atmosphere of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, and for tourist attractions such as the Gothic-style St. Michael’s Church and the Turda Salt Mine. Its IT industry is also growing rapidly, and the airline expects demand from both tourism and business travel.
