Nanki-Shirahama Marriott Hotel in Wakayama Prefecture will offer an accommodation plan with evening high tea, “Blossom Fruits Night Stay,” featuring spring fruits produced in Wakayama, from March 1 through May 31.
The plan showcases spring fruits from Wakayama Prefecture, such as the local strawberry variety “Mari Hime,” hassaku oranges, amanatsu citrus, and kiwifruit. Savory items include six kinds of dishes: cheese with a hint of plum aroma and sakura shrimp mikan galette, oven-baked asparagus and hassaku with breadcrumbs, a grouper sandwich baked with kiwi on top, a mousse of new onions and amanatsu, and more. The sweets selection consists of five items: bonbon chocolates made with lemons from Wakayama Prefecture, hassaku tartlets, strawberry scones served with Mari Hime strawberry confiture, verrine-style kiwifruit, and others. The main dish is grilled veal finished with a citrus and kinome herb-flavored chasseur sauce. For drinks, in addition to a welcome drink made with kiwifruit jam from Kozagawa Town, guests can enjoy two alcoholic drinks and a choice of ten kinds of tea and coffee.
Guests can choose from five types of guest rooms, including rooms with private hot spring baths where they can enjoy the waters of Shirahama Onsen in their own room, as well as Japanese-Western style rooms. Rates for a Premium Room with hot spring view bath start at 26,130 yen per night for double occupancy, while the high tea only option is 7,400 yen. All prices include tax and service charge.
